I am happy to inform you that the prayer day was held last Saturday, 10th October at the St. George’s High School, and seventeen (17) old boys were in attendance. Those that attended represented the following classes 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994. Congratulations to all these classes for sending representatives! Allen Makuri (class of 1992) was the MC and Rev Tom Dawa was the preacher of the day. Congratulations to you my brothers for the good job!
Congratulations to all our brothers in Diaspora for sending your messages, I read them out to the candidates in the presence of their teachers and their parents.
During the prayer meeting we collected an offering of seven thousand five hundred shillings (KSh.7,500/=), which will go into improving THE SOWA LIBRARY. After the prayer meeting, there was a meeting of SAGOBA and beside other things we agreed that the next prayer day be held on 08th October 2016. The programme will be posted on the website (www.thestgeorgeshighschool.com) but kindly mark the day and prepare early enough. On the website you will also find the dates and programmes of the next St. George’s Week and the St. George’s Day scheduled for May 2016). Other deliberations of the meeting will come as we proceed, be on the lookout.
Once again, thank you my dear brothers for attending, sending messages of encouragement and/or notifying me that you would not be attending the prayer meeting for some unavoidable commitment. You are always my heroes. And thank you very much also for encouraging my next heroes, the class of 2015. May God bless you abundantly!
Yours in service,
Chairman – SAGOBA
